Charism
- Focus on making the Eucharistic Christ the heart of our lives through Eucharistic adoration;
- Faith Formation through mini-retreats, prayer group, and Bible Study & Catechesis
History
The Kolbe Eucharistic Apostolate originated in 1996 in the form of monthly Eucharistic retreats that had started in 1995 in De La Salle High School's auditorium under the leadership of Msgr. Robert Nusca, Johnny Biafore (president of the former St. Maximilian Kolbe Apostolate), and Maria and Therese De Manche (Catholic high school teachers).
The Kolbe Eucharistic Apostolate has moved on and continues the (1) Kolbe Eucharistic Mini-Retreats at St. Brigid's Parish, Toronto, now under the leadership of Maria and Therese De Manche, with the kind support of the pastors of St. Brigid's Parish (including our present pastor Father Henry McErlean, O.S.A.), and the assistance of Father Francis X. Johnson S.J., and Father Charles Anang (St. Augustine's Seminary).
The Kolbe Eucharistic Apostolate, in addition to the Eucharistic Mini-Retreats, has expanded to include the (2) Quo Vadis Prayer Group, started in 1995, which focuses on faith formation and Eucharistic adoration, and the (3) "Know Your Faith" Bible Study Group, started in 2006, which offers Bible Study and catechesis for adults. The Kolbe Apostolate also offers to parishes (4) Catechesis on Devotions.
